Still, eating our six-legged friends may be a viable way to feed hundreds of millions of people while at the same time lowering humanity’s impact on the environment. Join us to learn about arthropods as food — and if you want, even sample a few on your own!

Mark your calendar for the AAUW NC 2008 Fall meeting - especially since it will be in Chapel Hill. This will be the last state meeting before the convention where the entire state will celebrate our 100th anniversary. Let’s take a large group over to Chapel Hill to help with the planning.
The exact schedule hasn’t been set, but for planning purposes, you can expect:
Friday evening, October 31. [Shall we make a Halloween Party of it?]
Saturday, November 1.

This year’s NC NOW conference will be held in Raleigh on Saturday, Oct. 11. You may want to attend to see how one of our coalition partners formats their state meeting — and to take advantage of workshops on issues that are apt to be related to AAUW priorities.
