A College Fair for Prospective Adult Students
Start Preparing for a Better Future Today!
- Enrollment and financial aid information provided by Triangle colleges and universities
- Approved NC DHHS-DCD credits for child care workers (3 hrs.)
- Child care provided (children 3-12 yrs.)
- Lunch with motivational speaker
An ideal opportunity for women ages 18 yrs. and over who have not attended college or would like to continue their college studies.

In addition to information on the colleges, there will be material from the College Foundation of North Carolina, and AAUW members who completed degrees after a break in their education will be available for conversations about how they met the challenge. Aleasia McNair and Brenda Sutton Williamson, graduates of Shaw University, will also share their experiences. Ms. McNair is married and the mother of 3 teenagers. She graduated from Shaw this month, and she already has two associate degrees. She is anticipating enrolling in graduate school. Ms. Williamson is employed with NC State Government.
