Sept. branch meeting: Wake County Board of Education
AAUW Raleigh/Wake County Branch kickoff meeting.

Join us for an informative meeting about the issues facing the Wake County public schools. We’ll
- Distribute the results of a survey of the Board of Education candidates.
The survey was conducted jointly with the League of Women Voters of Wake County. - Hear from Stan Norwalk of WakeUP Wake County about the issues of growth in the county and their effect on education.
- Enjoy a potluck supper and the opportunity to catch up with friends — and make new ones — after a busy summer.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Guests don’t need to bring a covered dish — just RSVP to info@rwc.aauwnc.org so we’ll know to save you a spot. We’ll start eating as folks arrive, with the presentation starting about 7:00.

Remember that new voters can register at the one-stop voting sites due to a law passed this summer. See Democracy NC for information and a flyer on the new law.
